Norrebro is the Islamic heart of Denmark, as well as the black nexus of Scandinavian life, and the hotbed of student activism. When I went to Copenhagen I stayed at the SLEEP IN HEAVEN youth hostel in Norrebro, the multicultural heart of Denmark. There were 80 people sleeping to a room but a nonetheless chilled atmosphere, and the summer sunshine was idyllic. There were felaffel and pizza shops everywhere, but sadly I had no money, so I had to make due on tins of sardines and bread and green tea bags I had brought from Japan.Da H.C.
