OKUBASHI -- Arakawa River +++++++++++ I won't pretend this place is a great tourist attraction, or that there is anything interesting to see there, or even that it is beautiful. Still, I have the desire to see and understand the entire world, so nowhere is a waste of space for me. Today (January 2 2004) I started walking from my house in Tokyo, and after two hours, stumbled upon this riverside realm called Okubashi (literally: The Preserved Tail's Bridge.) Something about the springlike weather was making me feel good, and I took a host of photos.
