微妙ュ // b i m y o u
I WAS LISTENING TO SOME JAPANESE GUYS TALKING ONE DAY, AND I NOTICED THEY SAID THE WORD 微妙ュ (bimyou) A LOT. I figured it must be an important word to be used so often, and subsequent consultations with the dictionary proved that the word means "subtle, slight". However, it is often used to mean "so-so". As in, how does that fried banana taste -- "bimyou..." -- nothing special.
