North of Kiunga, tiny villages can be seen just off the dirt road. After a short distance, the road forks: one way heading north-west, the other west. Following the north-west one: more villages appear at regular intervals, some complete with their own muddy dams.

I could stay with the missionaries at Rumginae. Just north-west of that village, a bridge crosses the Fly.
